This is the first title in the series of books written by the amazing Melanie Uteg and published by Abdo—it’s finally out in bookstores today!

These books introduce children to the fascinating world of insects and show how they work together. I am so grateful to have illustrated them , and I really recommend these books as reading!

Dung promised Bo he would try out Butterfly School, but Dung is convinced beetles won't matter. On their way to school, they meet a feathery friend, who suggests they may like school. But it isn't until recess that Dung realizes his rolling abilities are just what the butterflies need. Aligned to Common Core Standards and correlated to state standards.

Per celebrare insieme ai bambini e alle bambine La giornata mondiale dei diritti degli animali facciamo colorare il disegno di Cleo. Prima però spieghiamo che tutti gli animali hanno il diritto di vivere in tranquillità nel loro ambiente e che vanno tutelati anche perché svolgono un ruolo fondamentale per la sopravvivenza di tutti gli altri esseri viventi.
Le talpe, ad esempio, che spesso vengono considerate dannose perché con le loro montagnole rovinano giardini ad orti, in realtà, scavando le loro gallerie, migliorano la struttura del suolo, favoriscono la circolazione dell’aria e aiutano l’acqua a penetrare in profondità nel terreno.
